The Santa Rita Concerts 2015/16
It is with great pleasure that we announce the second season of magical Santa Rita concerts at the Little Museum of Dublin.
This year’s programme is even more exciting and broad ranging than was the critically acclaimed debut season – with legendary traditional fiddle player Frankie Gavin opening the series. 2015/16 concerts include renowned English folk singer Chris Wood, one of our best young pianists Michael McHale, and the astonishing cellist William Butt, to name just a few.
Each concert is conceived to provide a unique, deeply immersive audience experience. The evenings begin at 7pm with a Santa Rita wine reception in the museum’s first floor, and a pre-concert interview with the evening’s musician(s). The 8pm performances take place in The Ireland Funds Gallery – two beautifully resonant Georgian drawing rooms, connected by a wide archway. The space is candlelit and the atmosphere highly intimate – a concentrated ritual shared by performer and audience.
A specially discounted season ticket – which entitles the bearer to entrance to all remaining concerts in the 2015/2016 Santa Rita Concerts series plus free entrance to the The Little Museum of Dublin until end of March 2016 – is available to purchase here.
