The Little Museum of Dublin and Dublin Port Company are delighted to announce the launch of a new €20,000 Irish film prize.
In 2019 this film will be seen by over 100,000 visitors to the Little Museum in a purpose-built auditorium.
Up to eight minutes long, the ‘Port Short’ will celebrate the city of Dublin, highlighting aspects of our culture and heritage that separate the city from every other capital in Europe.
Both enlightening and entertaining, the film will enhance public understanding of the city’s evolution in addition to being an amusing introduction to Dublin today.
Applications open from 10th August 2018
Port tour will be arranged for interested film makers to attend (register interest firstname.lastname@example.org)
Filmmakers are invited to submit a story idea by the deadline of 5pm on 21st September 2018
A short list will be invited to interview in September 2018
The winning filmmaker will be announced September 2018
First full draft for input: 21st November 2018
Delivery by 1st January 2019 incl. post production
A commissioning fee of up to €20,000 will be offered to produce the winning film
The film will premiere in the Little Museum of Dublin in 2019
