Walk the Green Mile this weekend
This excellent walking tour of St Stephen’s Green begins in the museum at 11am every Saturday and Sunday morning. Join us this weekend.
Every year 8.1 million people walk through St Stephen's Green, but it has also played a key role in Irish history: for example, James Joyce studied on the Green and the Irish Constitution was drafted at the Shelbourne Hotel. This handsome square has long served as a backdrop for public and private drama, as well as the setting for many great love stories.
The tour begins with an introduction to the Little Museum, before a 60-minute walk in the company of an expert local guide. Donal Fallon is a historian and co-author of Come Here to Me. Donal teaches a course called Hidden Dublin: From the Monto to Little Jerusalem in University College Dublin, and he is a regular contributor to Irish radio and TV. Donal's tours are packed with anecdote, humour and theatre.
The Green Mile tour starts at 11am every Saturday and Sunday morning. Capacity is strictly limited and the tours often sell out. To avoid disappointment, book your tickets now.
