Plan your visit to the museum
What are the opening hours? We are open seven days a week from 9.30am until 5pm. Last entrance is at 4.45pm, except on Thursdays, when last admission is at 7pm.
Where is the museum? 15 St Stephen's Green, on the north side of the square, at the corner of Dawson Street. We are a two minute walk from the top of Grafton Street.
How much does it cost to visit the museum? €10. Senior citizens and students pay €8. The museum is small and most of our tours are fully booked. To guarantee admission, buy your ticket now by clicking here.
Is the museum suitable for children? Absolutely! Children love the Little Museum. We have worksheets for kids of all ages and there are lots of fun things to do throughout the building.
Do I have to take a guided tour? Admission to the museum is by guided tour. Our famous guided tours start on the hour, every hour. The tour is included in the price of your ticket.
What if I don't want to take a guided tour? Become a member of the museum. In addition to a host of other benefits, members can wander around the museum without joining a guided tour. To join, just click here.
Is the museum wheelchair accessible? Not at the moment. The museum is housed in an old Georgian building. While assistance is available for visitors with wheelchairs, we are fundraising to create universal access.
Are there discounts for groups? Yes.

Is there parking? There is on-street parking on St Stephen's Green and a public car park in the Fitzwilliam Hotel on the west side of the Green.
Is there a place to eat in the museum? Yes. All our visitors enjoy a 10% discount in Hatch & Sons, the acclaimed Irish restaurant in the basement of the museum.
Can I see a temporary exhibition without going on a guided tour? Yes, if you're a member of the museum. Members enjoy unlimited admission all year round. To become a member, click here.
How little is the museum? It’s not so little anymore. We have three exhibition spaces over three floors, with over 5,000 items on display. Come and see what the fuss is about today!
Can I hold a private event at the museum? Yes, the museum makes a perfect venue for events of all sizes. For more information, please visit our venue hire page.
Is there a place to leave my bag when I visit the museum? Yes, we have a cloakroom. You can leave coats, bags, umbrellas and buggies – at your own risk.
I want to donate something to the museum. What should I do? Please send a photograph of the item to bureau [at] littlemuseum.ie. Please do not bring the item into the museum unless we ask you to do so.
Do entertainers get a discount? Yes! Our famous guided tours embody the history, hospitality and humour of Dublin. When locals sing an Irish song or tell a great story, we offer them a free ticket for their next visit. Come and entertain our visitors!
