Plan your visit to the museum
What are the opening hours? The museum is open seven days a week from 9.30am until 5pm. Our final tour starts at 5pm sharp.
Where is the museum? 15 St Stephen's Green, beside the the corner of Dawson Street. We are a two-minute walk from the top of Grafton Street.
How much does it cost to visit the museum? €10. Senior citizens and students pay €8. Most tours sell out. To guarantee admission, just click here.

Do I have to take a guided tour? Admission to the museum is by guided tour. If you don’t want to take a tour, become a member of the museum – then you’ll have the run of the place. To join, just click here.
Is the museum wheelchair accessible? Not at the moment. We’re working on it.
How can I get to the museum? Over thirty buses stop within a five-minute walk. Otherwise take the LUAS. On the Green line we are half-way between the Dawson Street and Stephen’s Green stops.
Is there parking? There is on-street parking on St Stephen's Green and a public car park in the Fitzwilliam Hotel on the west side of the Green.
Is there a place to leave my bag when I visit the museum? Yes, we have a cloakroom. You can leave coats, bags, umbrellas and buggies – at your own risk.
Is there a place to eat? Yes. All our visitors enjoy a 10% discount in Hatch & Sons, the acclaimed Irish restaurant in the basement of the museum.
Can I see a temporary exhibition without going on a guided tour? Yes, if you're a member of the museum. Members enjoy unlimited admission all year round. To become a member, click here.

Do entertainers get a discount? Yes! Our famous guided tours embody the history, hospitality and humour of Dublin. If locals sing an Irish song or tell a great story, they are given a free ticket for their next visit.
