The Church Street Disaster, 100 Years On
Wednesday 20th November, 7pm
Next up in our Dublin Lectures' series is Chris Corlett, speaking on the sad and compelling history of tenement life in Dublin. Former honorary secretary of the Royal Society of Antiquaries of Ireland, Chris is the author of the widely acclaimed Darkest Dublin, an unsurpassed pictorial account of the slums of Dublin in 1913. One hundred years on from the Church Street disaster, Chris's lecture will revisit the capital of tenements, bare feet, and bowler hats. Not to be missed!
Tickets are available on the door, priced at €9.
