The Santa Rita Concerts 2016/17

It is with great pleasure that we announce the third season of exquisite Santa Rita concerts at the Little Museum of Dublin.

This year’s programme continues the themes of previous seasons, presenting eclectic, absorbing performances in an intimate setting – exceptional young British folk singer Sam Lee will open the series.  2016/17 concerts include internationally lauded Irish composer and vocalist Jennifer Walshe, Cork-based dark ambient outfit Second Moon of Winter, and the incredible harpsichordist Malcolm Proud performing Bach's Goldberg Variations.

Each concert is conceived to provide a unique, deeply immersive audience experience.  The evenings begin at 7pm with a Santa Rita wine reception in the museum’s first floor, and a pre-concert interview with the evening’s musician(s).  The 8pm performances take place in The Ireland Funds Gallery – two beautifully resonant Georgian drawing rooms, connected by a wide archway.  The space is candlelit and the atmosphere highly intimate – a concentrated ritual shared by performer and audience.
